3 simple steps to help holiday stress November 19 2014
Ah... it's that time of year! So much to do and not enough time. But STOP before it all gets out of hand! Here are 3 simple things to help you. Maybe you'll even find it becomes part of your daily life!
1. Find a quiet place. You can either sit or lie down as long as you're comfortable.
2. Become "present".
Turn inwards and listen. What do you hear? How are you feeling? Become aware of your surroundings.
Take deep slow breaths. How slowly can you fill your lungs? How slowly can you exhale? Focus on your breathe. Keep your mind free and just breathe and let your thoughts go. As you exhale, let the tension in your body go.
Try doing this for 5 min. and slowly increase the time each day. Practice daily.
